Spammers wreaked havoc on the previous version of the message board resulting in the loss of 150 of the earliest messages. They still show up on the message board but are flagged in red with lost message!. Clicking on them will result in the The page cannot be found error.
I also took this opportunity to move the message board t
o a more universal location accessible from all the sites on www.ustica.org . Another added feature is that new messages will be flagged in green with new message!. That should make it easier to find new messages added to older threads way down the list. I will flush out the green tags on a quarterly basis to keep them relevant.

There are still some enhancements that I am working on. The message counter (in paranthesis at the end of each message line) does not decrement when a message in its thread is removed. Also links to removed messages remain in the message body of the parent message. I also would like the purging of the new message! to be automatic.
That should keep me busy for a while!
Hopefully this latest version will prevent destructive spammers from clobbering the site again. I also will begin routine backups (duh!) so we won't loose any more of our exchanges. I'm sure some offensive spam will get in, so please be vigilant and let me know if any slips through.
