ßßßAncestry.com has recently posted "Palermo Italy, Index of Birth Records: 1876-85 Parts 1-3." In case you did not know it, the birth records from Palermo have been carefully indexed in large typed books which have been microfilmed by the Mormons. Now, at least part of these records are available on-line (for a fee, of course) at Ancestry.com. Many Ustica families (including mine) have branches from Palermo, so this should be a great help in research.
By the way, Ancestry.com also has the entire 1930 census on-line, fully indexed. But let's hope they continue and post the entire series of Palermo records.
