The Daily Picayune Branch night a number of Italians met at the rooms of the Young Men's Christian Association, 117 Camp street, to organize an Italian branch of the association. Mr. Antonino Barraco was called to the chair and the Rev. Christopher Russo was selected secretary pro tem. The organization was effected and the following officers were elected to serve for the ensuing year: President, Pietro Pizzo; vice president, Angelo Palmisano; secretary, Santo Villani; treasurer, Pasquale Casentino. A committee of three was appointed to prepare and translate the constitution and bylaws will be ready to report, and the organization will be completed by he election of an executive committee and the other committees necessary to carry on their work. The new branch starts out with twenty-six charter members.
